Is Toni Braxton Quitting Music?
The R&B diva dropped a bit of shocking news on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning after she told the crew that she was thinking about quitting music.
Tom asked Toni a series of questions about her follow-up to her critically acclaimed single, I Heart You, to which Toni replied that she is seriously thinking of quitting music.
I don’t know if I’m going to be doing anymore music, I’ve said that before in the past but I don’t know…I just don’t know. Maybe I’m mad at music. I don’t know what it is. I can’t, my heart’s not in it right now.
Toni also nixed any rumors that the record companies aren’t interested in her.
They’re actually calling and I’m like well ‘I don’t know if I want to do another record’ but that’s a blessing I guess but I gotta be in it, I gotta love it and maybe because everything that has happened to me I don’t know.
Toni is one of the greatest talents to ever hit the music industry. Her music is timeless and still remains on repeat. Here’s to hoping that she continues to release music because her single, I Heart You, was a brilliant fuse of pop & R&B that was a delicious slice of humble pie to the naysayers that said her career was over.
